Be alert at all times keeping a watch over your flock. He spoke this word to me… You are on a fire watch!!

Woke up with bad dreams, the enemy trying to take my family apart….and thank God Mike was still home so he held me and we prayed. I get my Bible out this morning and I’m going through the book of Acts and read chapter 20 and this Scripture rings through my heart…..
Acts 20:28 (MSG) “Now it’s up to you. Be on your toes—both for yourselves and your congregation of sheep. The Holy Spirit has put you in charge of these people—God’s people they are—to guard and protect them. God himself thought they were worth dying for.

The enemy is real and God has given us what we need to over come him. We cannot set by and let him take our children, our families, our friends or neighbors, not even a stranger!!! Be alert at all times keeping a watch over your flock. He spoke this word to me after I prayed in the we hours of the morning. You are on a fire watch!!

My husband is a chemical fire fighter. This word to be was ALERT!!! Listen to the definition. A firewatch is a person assigned to observe ongoing hot work to identify and react to hazards. A Firewatch is necessary at any time where hot work is performed in locations where a fire greater than a minor one might develop. You must inspect the work area for any sources of fuel, such as trash, rags and flammable materials and liquids. This applies to lower decks or levels where sparks or slag could fall. Do you hear the scripture in the definition?

Listen to the duties of a person on Fire watch:

Having fire extinguishing equipment readily available
Know how to sound an alarm in the event of a fire
Monitor for fires in all exposed areas, including lower decks or levels
Attempt to extinguish the fire only within the capacity of available
equipment, if not sound the alarm!!!
Monitor hot work area’s after hot work operations stop

Be on your toes….prepared with equipment to extinguish the fire
Take charge……..sound the alarm
Watch over yourself and those in your flock……Monitor
Extinguish the fire…..God’s Word to protect His children
Monitor what you know is a potential hot spot…..God himself thought they were worth dying for. Stay awake pray, speak the Word of God over them out loud, let the devil know you are not sleeping and he can’t have your loved ones!!!!

Praise God for He always prepares us for the up and coming fight, our weapons are not carnal 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (GW) Of course we are human, but we don’t fight like humans. The weapons we use in our fight are not made by humans. Rather, they are powerful weapons from God. With them we destroy people’s defenses, that is, their arguments and all their intellectual arrogance that oppose the knowledge of God. We take every thought captive so that it is obedient to Christ. We are ready to punish every act of disobedience when you have become completely obedient.

Stay the course and be a FIRE Watcher!!!
