August comes from the Latin word augustus, meaning “consecrated”

To consecrate yourself is to answer God‘s call to spiritual consecration . This means making a conscious, willing decision to dedicate your soul, mind, heart, and body to God. This decision must be one of will, intelligence, and affection. Only you can make the decision to consecrate yourself to God. What a way to sum up the month.

How do I consecrate myself to the Lord?

  • Surrender yourself to God.
  • Spend Quality Time in God’s Presence
  • Secure A Time & A Place To Pray
  • Have A Heart Of Expectation

Joshua 3:5

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

As you can see by our photo, our family has expanded. Yes our daughter has become the wife of a wonderful Pastor in Korea. If you have followed her journey you can see that her life has been set apart for God and she followed His leading to Korea. She say’s,”I didn’t see this coming”!!! Meeting and marrying Bok Jung all the while a national pandemic was occurring around us. The meaning of the name Elisabeth is: My God is bountiful;God of plenty. And I can say I am seeing this taking place in her life.

If we will only look to God for all things in our lives, I wonder what He will do in our lives?

Deep Roots Ministries International, Inc.

What does Deep Roots Ministries do? We encourage believers to grow spiritually in Christ by discipleship. Continuing the works Jesus did. How do we do that? We study God’s Word to develop a Biblical worldview. Scriptures identify God’s plan for our lives. God’s will to us is revealed in His Word. Together we spend time reading the Bible and studying the Truths of the Word of God. Where do you do this? In our home and others homes with family and friends (small groups), teaching videos, and meetings. Where we are invited to share. Colossians 2:6-7 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
