Don’t be Deceived

In years past about this time before October 31, the world recognizes it as Halloween. I would tell you why we do not celebrate it , where it’s origin comes from and who you are actually worshiping.

This year 2020 has been quite a different year so far wouldn’t you say?

There has been much clarity brought before our eyes. Openness of true evils plotted against the unborn children and younger generations, attacks on the elderly, and attacks on true biblical stance.

The biggest lie the devil has had some believe is that he doesn’t exist at all ….that Halloween ,scary things, and witches are all safe practices….. it’s just one day out of the year.

I wonder if we asked someone who has suffered a very traumatic event for one hour or one day, if they would say that it hasn’t affected them, or how long has it effected them, would you be surprised?

If we know God to be love, peace, joy, and our protector what do we know of the devil? Revelation 12:9 Satan is cast down to the earth and called the biggest deceiver of the world.

Ephesians 4 instructs us how to be a follower , an imitator of God, telling us to stand against the wiles of the devil. Stand against deception, strategies, subtle arguments of the devil where he tries to reason with us. How many of us have reasoned with Halloween? And how about finding out you have been deceived in 2020?

We need to know that God has clearly defined who satan is and how we are to give him no place in our lives.

Ephesians 6:12 we wrestle not against flesh and blood contending with physical opponents but against powers, spirits rulers of the world, and darkness against spiritual forces.

You are not smarter than the devil. That’s why you should listen to the spirit within you , the Holy Spirit. 1 John 2:27 says that you have the anointing of truth that lives on the inside of you. Just because you know something doesn’t make it truth , it only makes it “your truth” not God’s truth. This is the difference between truth and knowledge.

God doesn’t squirm at our questions, He says in Romans 16:18 don’t have an unsuspecting mind. And in Proverbs 14:15 The simple minded believe every word he hears but a prudent man looks and considers well where he is going.

If this year has proved anything in 2020 for us to have clear vision into what is good and what is evil, what is God and what is not God!!

Don’t be deceived.
