“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom“

Have you ever thought about if all of a sudden you struck it rich? I have. I planned to use the money to pay off everything, buy a home in the country with land enough to give to my children, give to fund missions and more.
The truth is as a child of God I don’t have to dream about it anymore. God has promised to me everything I have need of in His Word.
In order for me to participate in Gods benefits I have to learn what His Word says concerning it. Colossians 3:16 Look at the word “richly” It comes from the Greek word “plousios,” it is described as abundance, wealth, enormous influence, great prosperity, and immense riches.
Paul uses the word in Colossians to let us know that if we will receive the word of God in the right way – if we receive it – it will enrich us immensely.
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of God dwell in you richly. If you’ll give the word place in you this way, it will produce spiritual wealth in your life …”
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16.
These words describe people so full of the word of God that their entire being is affected. Their hearts are full of joy; their minds are flooded with wisdom and understanding; and their mouths are singing songs to the Lord.
When the word of God comes to feel at home in you, dwelling inside your heart, it enriches you with wisdom, the gifts and the power you need for the today.
Then as you are filled with the riches of God you find yourself encouraging other people to be filled. Those inward spiritual riches will flow out of you to bring life to everyone around you. Paul paints a picture of what the word of God will produce if you allow it to take up residency in you and become a vital part of your life.
Let God’s word play an important role in your life.
I pray today as you read this blog let God, grow His Word in you as you dedicate yourself to reading His Word and praying His Word, that you will become so full of the word that your entire being is affected by it, Amen.
Character of the New Man
Colossians 3:12-17
12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
