Strengthening

Eliphaz starts by acknowledging Job as an encourager. He recognises Job as one who has given wise guidance, who has offered timely support and who has strengthened others.

This is so significant. The first thing that Job’s friends say about him is that he is an Encourager

  • Job 4:3-4 His instructions have strengthened feeble hands: when people didn’t know what they were doing, Job empowered them. “Let me help you, let me show you.” “Do you need a hand?” “How can I assist?” “Try it this way…” “This is what my dad taught me…”

The key word is “strengthening“.
Encouragement is about strengthening others.
– We share our knowledge/experience/wisdom and empower people.
– We offer forgiveness and a second chance to those who stumble.
– We come alongside and lend our strength to those who falter.

Today these verses came to life in a fellow believer, she was such an encouragement to us….

Tasha, such a blessing, serving us and serving God.
If we would all encourage one another especially at this time in our world, God’s love would be everywhere.
Pray for our brothers and sisters here in Mississippi and encourage one another.

Deep Roots Ministries International, Inc.

What does Deep Roots Ministries do? We encourage believers to grow spiritually in Christ by discipleship. Continuing the works Jesus did. How do we do that? We study God’s Word to develop a Biblical worldview. Scriptures identify God’s plan for our lives. God’s will to us is revealed in His Word. Together we spend time reading the Bible and studying the Truths of the Word of God. Where do you do this? In our home and others homes with family and friends (small groups), teaching videos, and meetings. Where we are invited to share. Colossians 2:6-7 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
