If I genuinely believed in judgment day, wouldn’t I desperately warn the people I love?

The Bible teaches that we have a real enemy, he has done a masterful job of distracting us and taking away the fear of judgment 2 Corinthians 5: 10-11.

So the enemies goal has been to divide the church and take away the power that they have in the authority of the name of Jesus.

We need to stay united as the body of Christ not because we work at it but because we stay focused on our purpose here on earth.

John 17: 20-23 Pray in Faith …
Trust that our prayers can change us. Pray for a union that resembles what God has with Jesus. Jesus is showing us in the scripture his desire to be one with us and that we would be united followers. That unity is possible in Christ. Scriptures also points out that it’s not just when we get to heaven but it’s here and now on earth we would be united.

Why is it that we find it hard to believe that we could all come together? That the enemy has tried so hard to divide us? Because if we all became united think of the things that we could accomplish on earth. Laws would be changed, life would be celebrated, we need each other we’re not called to do life alone.

Maybe if we put a face to the people that we would draw in to be united, think about your mom or dad or cousins or sisters, best friends or coworkers, the people who may not be so interested in following Jesus. Imagine they encounter you , who is part of a church so united that they realize Jesus is who we claim him to be. They don’t just hear someone preaching about grace, mercy, and sacrifice but they actually see believers modeling this love with one another. That their eyes are open and now …..to you the sacrifice of your life serving Jesus becomes worth it!

Remember a common mission brings oneness. We need every member of the body.
Disunity makes us dysfunctional.

I know you’ve heard “dysfunctional family”, for many years now, now think of that in regards to disunity makes sense doesn’t it?

The gospel message is incomplete without unity and having a unified church.
