Love has a NAME

Love has a name….. living in love is what actual maturity looks like 1 Corinthians 13:6.
Two most important commands that Jesus gives us:
1. To love God
2. To love the people around us
Matthew 22:36- 40
God has created us in such a way that we crave relationships and family. He designed the church to be a family that is even more devoted to one another then their biological families Luke 14:26, Matthew 12:46-50.
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10, 2 Thessalonians 1:3 primary measures of maturity was love.
Who decided that emphasizing doctrine was mature and emphasizing love was in mature? Joining a church is joining an incredible oneness with God and with each other John 13:34-35. We come to church to be part of a community to grow closer to God and grow closer to one another that’s the family of God.
incoming to a church we are to become teachers instead of staying in a constant state of learning. But some refuse to lead while others spend a lifetime believing they are never ready. We should not be just filling up our minds with information but emptying ourselves for the needy Hebrews 5:12.
The road to maturity involves continual growth and intimacy with God. We have to study the life of Christ Colossians 3:12-14. True discipleship involves living life together caring for the lost and hurting together experiencing victories and disappointments together.
2 Peter 1:5-7, Colossians 1:28-29, Ephesians 4:11-16 God has gifted this church with apostles, prophets, evangelist, Shepherd‘s and teachers their job is to equip the Saints for the work of the ministry, and they’re supposed to do this until we all attain to the unity of the faith. If leaders are doing their jobs properly the outcome should be mature saints who are out doing ministry while becoming more united. The Bible describes a type of training that results in equipped and unified workers.
Everyone in ministry should have a common goal. Our job is to help all the members of the body of Christ mature.
