Ezekiel 33

Renewal of Ezekiel’s Call as Watchman
Ezekiel 33 Renewal of Ezekiel’s Call as Watchman
A watchman had to be gifted and trained to see and hear exceptionally well so that he could protect its citizens. Surprisingly, as a watchman, God’s first assignment for Ezekiel was to train him on how to not speak from his mouth everything that was on his heart and mind.
I had a dream last night that I was taking someone to visit a person who didn’t turn out to be who they appeared to be.
In the dream as we arrived a gift was given to the person I was visiting but everything was in the dark… no lights were on. I reached up to grab the light chain and the room was illuminated.
And so was the enemy! I knew immediately I was in the presence of darkness!
I grabbed hold of the person I was with and thought ,”No way! I taking you out of here!”
The devils cold eyes gazed upon me but couldn’t do anything to restrain me.
God instructed Ezekiel to hold his peace and not say a word to them. God taught Ezekiel that to lead anyone else well, you must first lead yourself well. God taught Ezekiel that to train your eyes and ears, you must be able to tame your tongue. And, in order to see and hear God better, you must give God access and control over your mouth.
Every believer is called to be a spiritual watchman and to be a more effective leader. It may be over your family, marriage, singleness, or career.
Every Christian is also called to steward his or her tongue well.
Ezekiel 3:24-27
When God reminds me of these scriptures, I take it very seriously and do my part to be a watchman!!!
