Welcome to Deep Roots Ministries

We are to encourage believers to grow spiritually in Christ by discipleship; which is to continue and expand the work Jesus did. Everything God did was because He is LOVE. We identify precepts and principles from God’s Word, ONLY a Biblical perspective of God’s power, love, and faithfulness. Scriptures identify God’s plan for our lives. God’s will to us is revealed in His Word, so spending time reading and studying the Word of God brings more than information; it brings transformation.

What’s In Your Hand?

February 4, 2023

Do you have a desire to be used by God but feel like you aren’t qualified, or you have nothing to offer?  In Exodus 4:2, we find Moses making excuses because he felt inadequate to do the job God called him to do. God’s response was, “What is that in your hand?” And Moses said,…

The Right People, Right Place, Right Plan

January 31, 2023

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope.” God made you for a purpose. He knows what that purpose is. When you don’t know why something was made, you can easily abuse…

RUN TO FINISH!!!

January 22, 2023

In 1992 Derek Redmond competed in the 400 meter Semi-final in the Barcelona Spain Olympics. The video is a perfect expression of how this Christian Race is to be ran! There are several points to be made that compare greatly this to our spiritual race! Like most races, it’s easy to start off well. It’s…

Jesus teaches us to pray to the Father about our spiritual needs. The Lord’s Prayer acknowledges our fallen nature.

January 22, 2023

It says that as we repent, God will forgive us. The Lord’s Prayer goes further by commanding us to forgive others. As we ask God for forgiveness, we also have to forgive those who sinned against us. As our gracious heavenly Father forgives our debts, we forgive our debtors. Forgiveness is not an option. Christ…

Lord’s Prayer expresses our submission to God and our willingness for His will to be done in our lives.

January 21, 2023

First, Jesus told His disciples to ask for their physical needs. In the Lord’s Prayer, He said to ask for your daily bread; this means we can ask for anything we need in our everyday lives.  God is a good Father. He wants to provide for our needs. He also wants to fulfill our desires—as…

We should begin praying by worshiping God.

January 20, 2023

Jesus started the Lord’s Prayer by hallowing the name of His heavenly Father. By stating that God is our Father in heaven, Jesus showed us how we ought to relate to God. Calling God our Father in heaven reflects two truths: it communicates His nearness to us as a Father, as well as His transcendence…

The Lord’s Prayer Teaches Us How to Pray

January 19, 2023

He said that we should pray “in the following manner,” or pray “like this,” not to literally “pray this.” The Lord’s Prayer is primarily a teaching model. Moreover, before teaching His disciples how to pray, Jesus told them what not to do in prayer. First, He said that when we pray, we must not be hypocrites—people…

The Lord’s Prayer Belongs to the Disciples

January 18, 2023

Whether you are a seasoned Christian or a new believer, the Lord’s Prayer is the model you can use to help you build a closer relationship with God. You can memorize it and pray it by heart. However, it is even better to study what it teaches and use it as a model for all…
